国际大一课程（diploma）采用的是小学期紧凑式授课模式，一年设置4次入学机会。学生可根据自身情况，灵活选择入学时机。
完成国际大一课程的规定科目后，学生将进入本科二年级课程的学习，根据学生选择的学习方向不同，有丰富的衔接课程可供选择：

麦考瑞大学国际学院(Macquarie University International College，简称MUIC)位于麦考瑞大学校园内，由大学设立管理并教授课程。
MUIC针对不同阶段及需求的学生开设国际大一课程(Diploma)、预科课程( Foundation)和快捷课程(Intensive programs)。
MUIC的课程能更好帮助学生适应大学的教学环境、生活环境、增强学生的英语沟通能力，为大学生活与学习做好充分准备。
